|Training in Sharjah on Risk Management of Cultural Heritage in Times of Crisis|

The ICCROM-ATHAR Regional Conservation Centre has organized the course on Risk Management of Cultural Heritage in Times of Crisis which began today on 4 October. It will continue for 23 days in Sharjah, UAE.
The course aims to train heritage and other relevant professionals in countries of the Arab region and provide them with tools that support risk management before, during, and after crisis. It will largely address first aid interventions and protection of cultural heritage in times of crisis.
7 participants from DGAM were attended the course with several participants form Egypt, Jordan, Libya, Oman, Sudan, Morocco, United Arab Emirates, Yemen, and Algeria.
After the course, participants will be invited to submit proposals to carry out risk management and preparedness projects or organize training courses in their respective countries. The aim will be to use knowledge obtained from this course and project outcomes to strengthen disaster risk management of cultural heritage at a national and regional level.
