Latest developments as regards antiquities in Hasaka, Qamishli, Raqqa and Palmyra10/03/2013 - عدد القراءات : 3101
According to the Directorate of Antiquities in Hasaka and the Department of Antiquities in Qamishli, the archaeological sites and hills in the northern region (Tell Leilan, Tell Mozan, Tell Beydar, Tell Arbeed and Chagar Bazar, etc.) are in good condition and have suffered from no damage. Moreover, the curator of Raqqa Museum who is in charge of Hergla historic building has confirmed that the building is safe and intact to date.
As far as Palmyra is concerned, the Directorate of Antiquities there has indicated that the museum and the historic site are in good condition, and that clashes are taking place in orchards outside the city. The damage was minor, specifically, the inner wall of the west façade of the Temple of Bel.
