The Global Heritage Fund in cooperation with his partners: The Arab Regional Center for World Heritage (ARC-WH), the International Scientific Committee on Risk Preparedness of ICOMOS ICOMOS- ICORP),   The International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM), the Prince Claus Fund's Cultural Emergency Response programme (CER),  have thus begun the AMAL in Heritage program by developing a mobile app for responding to heritage crises as they unfold.

This includes modules for training, forming crisis response teams, communicating with project leaders and team members, and cataloging damage to heritage assets.

The DGAM team was involved in the first training to evaluate the AMAL app,  which took place at the Arab Regional Center for World Heritage in Manama- Bahrain from 23 to 25 October 2016.

It is worth to mentioned, that AMAL in Heritage represents effort to fulfill the critical needs of the MENA region through the three prongs of disaster relief: preparedness, response, and recovery.
